Hey guys,
I’m wanting to add a temperature gauge to my LJ sedan.
I’ve been advised to get VDO brand by my auto electrician.
I’d really love some help/guidance as to what to buy and where to put them (if I was to also get oil pressure or volts etc)
I know nothing about any of this!
Thanks so much

I guess first question-
Are you talking electrical/ sender ? or capilliary type?

Has to be electrical.

Mechanical capillary type is illegal inside the car now, unless fitted factory.

All LC LJ gauges are electrical.

Why don't you just fix the original gauge..?

I'm guessing her LJ only has a warning light instrument panel.

Ok, standard dash.

Any of the VDO electrical gauges are suitable and good quality.  Make sure you get the VDO sender to match it.

Try to avoid aftermarket senders, they are not accurate like VDO.  I just tested a customers Fuel Miser oil pressure sender, brand new, totally erratic, just rubbish and that's where it went.

He also gave me a reproduction temp sender from USA.  Faulty, straight out of the box.
