I had seen the Vari site before but only just now read that they actually make their own calipers in QLD,

The infinity kits seem to list the AP 5200 calipers, good calipers but i thought they stopped making them. Replaced with the forged 9200s.

Lowering springs as opposed to drop spindle has the same effect as lowering inner pivot or raising outer in any case.

Hadn't seen these before. They look loads better than hoppers or wilwoods. Would you recommend them Neil? As long as they fit behind my convo's I'd spend the money.

I haven't seen them yet

A local here is having issues with his brakes and this is what's fitted

I spoke to the manufacturer about it all last week

I'm hoping to get a look at the car and see how its all set up soon

Those vari brakes look very interesting.

I'm getting close to dropping coin on brakes fairly soon. They are not too far from me either.

Neil, what calipers would you use if making your own brake kit?
Would you try to match front and rear calipers like a set of Brembos like these below or just some good fronts and rears not critical?

Cheers, Tom

Tom...Big wheels and weird offsets required for those

Lenny

The Vari man seemed like he knew what he was doing...not with kits...but with making calipers

Might pay to take a look

He also makes a 4 pot....and rears

The calipers we used for his car are  our 616 SHV  calipers. ( 6 pots )

The rotor size is 330 diameter x 32 thick.

The piston sizes are the following :     35mm  diameter pistons (  2 of )      32mm diameter pistons  ( 4 of ) This is for one caliper .

The pad compound is a street compound.

lots of money spent everywhere but never brakes. When I think about all the Torana pictures posted everywhere there is few to none cars with quality big callipers.
