Thought I would share a recent project I undertook as an experiment. My car came with the original boot mat although it was in 3-4 pieces. I bought one of Brad Merricks boot mats which is a great facsimile of the original texture however I've got this obsession with keeping this car original so out of boredom I bought some Selleys Fix & Go Supa Glue, laid the pieces of my original mat on the garage floor and proceeded to glue it back together by using the brush (same as nail polish brush) to paint the edges with Supa Glue then holding them together with my hands for 20 seconds. After I finished I painted the whole mat with a brush with Kitten Ultra water based black tyre paint. I was skeptical that the glue would work but it worked better than I expected. So the moral of the story is don't thrown away your old boot mat. I was lucky in that the tears in the mat corresponded perfectly with each other so that made things a lot easier. You can see the repaired section but its a lot better than it was.

Hi

Good to see a fuel tank cover still glued in place as was intended.
