It is with incredible sadness that we have to advise that Wayne unfortunately passed away last night around 10pm - Wed 21st April

He was peaceful and at home surrounded by loved ones so at least that’s a blessing, as is the fact that he is now released from the pain he endured in recent times

The funeral will be at Leppington Lawn Cemetery, Camden Valley Way Leppington commencing 10.30am Friday 30th April 2021

Please bring your special cars, Wayne would appreciate that, but no need for flowers.

His request was that instead you all eat a big chocolate desert ~ and remember that cheeky grin as he gobbled his down.

Afterwards there will be a gathering at a nearby location, this will be confirmed in the next few days.

If you are able to make it please let us know in this thread, if you’re unable to make it we understand however please feel free to place a eulogy in this thread and we will ensure it gets read out at the funeral.

He was a very special friend to many people and this will be an opportunity for you to remember him with a smile, not a tear.

Oh, and if you have one, wear your Torana shirt or jacket!

Yeah same here but I knew his car and it would always bring a smile to my dial when it popped up in photos around the place. To all of those who knew Wayne, including his family and friends, my condolences and may he rest in peace.

Rest in peace Wayne. I only spoke to him last week, I'm glad that I made the effort to give him a call.

He was always happy to have a chat and share his knowledge or experience with us younger guys.

Being called “Sunshine” was such a simple thing but had the ability to cheer me up greatly.

I actually think Wayne was the real Sunshine

Bugger to hear of Wayne passing. I will always remember the chats at club meeting which always involved adding performance to Toranas. Mostly LJs  and Holden sixes. Then the conversation steered towards trucks and then back to Toranas again. My guess is he is up there right now trying to track down some Torana parts.

Had many a beer with the larrikin over the years at Torry fest events. As I have been out of the torana Community for a while did not know he was so sick. He passed away 3 hours after my Mum did so I will always remember his anniversary well.
