I'm feeling the breather is bent down too far? If so how far does it come up and I assume it doesn't hook into the wiring tab as that would be too high?

Bazza thanks for responding, is hard to tell from your single photo but yours looks like I feel mine should look i.e an inch or so higher. I added more photos of my metal line where you can see what I believe is a factory kink downwards in the metal hose on what I would call the 2nd bendable tab so this leads me to believe it was never intended to be captured in the last metal tab (last being towards the middle of the boot nearest the boot lock) before it routes down and around the boot lock.

Hi Mark

A better view of my vent pipe routing and a pic of an aftermarket pipe.

Cheers

I'm feeling the breather is bent down too far? Leave it alone, that is how it was made.

Leave it alone Mark. That is how it was manufactured.

Ok thanks Dave/Bazza. I was sort of hoping someone would say to leave it alone because my luck bending it up it would fracture the metal pipe then I'm really stuffed.

I doubt you would crack the tube but it would be impossible to straighten it by hand so there were no signs of it ever being bent, esp when the bend was created by a bending tool.

Did these vary depending on the manufacturing plant? Bazza's is clearly different to Mark's.

Mark's XU1 is from Elizabeth as is Bazza's, I believe.
