I wonder if they identified the place by simply spotting a Torana on FR26's or whatever the hell ∞" diameter those wheels are on the green hatch, and following him home.

Hopefully it lands in someone's hands who can put some decent sized wheels back on.

Wasn't there a Madeira A9X hatch for sale a while ago?

Nothing burns my piss more than these crooks who benefit from the sale of illegal drugs. I suspect this is half the reason why the prices of our beloved chrome bumper cars is going through the roof as these thugs buy them up with all their cash.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are part of a money laundering scheme.

Buy the cars at auction with drug money, then sell them on the private market for clean cash. They wouldn't even care if they lost some on the deal. No tax, and money is laundered.

Or they buy projects, spend cash fixing them and sell once finished for big profit.

My mate told me a few week back about a bloke we know and few of you would too. He take a car out the shed, drive down the road and sells it for 100K to Harry with lots of cash he should have. Week or two later sees the car he just sold back up for sale online. So off he goes and buy it back with a bank transfer for a lot less than he first sold it for and everyone happy as.

Does that really make up a significant part of what's going on in the market?

Lots of people in your age bracket who have built up a significant amount of wealth (legitimately) and want to spend it on cool shit they wanted as a kid, before they're too old to enjoy the stuff... I hope that's the main factor.

Either way, shame for 16-25 year olds that I'd love to see buying Toranas now. But that's just not practical in most cases.

The baby boomer and my generation would certainly have contributed Heath no doubt about it. But I personally believe there is more illegitimate stuff taking place too which doesn't help.

As you have stated, a shame for the younger, not so wealthy, generation as they struggle to buy one nowadays.
