No...but is that a good application for staino?
Not sure why, but I always think staino has a sort of "brittle" characteristic? No expert.

stainless should be ok , the ball part of it is made of some kind of hardened steel normally
seen them advertise for other cars but not a Torana
polished the alloy parts on my steering rack , figured may as well make the rest of it look shiny
also looking to make the rack ends stainless too

Stainless is quite soft really, not much more harder than a standard mild steel bolt etc.
This is why they are NOT recommended for critical applications ie suspension mounts, engine bolts etc
Stainless work hardens, everything you do to it ie drill, tap, weld, hammer, heat cycle will make it brittle & eventually crack or break.
I haven't seen stainless automotive style rodends but i would be very sceptical if they were an approved road use item.
I've been in the dairy industry for 35 years & the stainless has definitely changed over that time!
Generally for the worst due to china.

I agree with Trevor but, because I am genuinely interested, I would like to see a reference comparing hardness.

As a machinist in a previous life I know this. I also used to work on submarines and so know a little about what corrodes and what doesn't.
