I'm looking at buying a LJ UX1 in NZ on Webb's Auction, but I have my doubts. Firstly, the tags are black plates with white writing and the plates are screwed to the chassis not riveted. I'm sure other members have seen it.

Model LJ82911

Body 289779B

Trim 181650X

Paint 56812692 (I think actual colour is chateau mauve)

Eng XU1 trans

Diff G95

Vin 8D11PCH289779J

Eng No JP203365 and Chassis no BLJ51013B are stamped on vehicle

I don't want to overspend and any info would be appreciated. In any case if the tags are fake we can list them here

If you do buy a car in NZ  l would suggest that you do your homework  very well  on just what it is going to cost you to get it into Oz  ,   with government charges   gst  luxury car tax  etc .

and also watch out for any asbestos in the components - flanges, clutch, brakes, if it gets impounded, it could be a $10k to $15k pull apart as some person found out with an imported Mustang.
