Dear Torana friends,

 

i got a set of old carby heads with one valve guide broken shoulder on top. That spot where the seal sits.

 

I wonder where to get new valve guides with shoulder in steel or bronze ?

Perhaps there is a US car with the same valve guides to use ?

I’ll check in the morning if Holden V8 are the same as SBC, but I think they are close. Alex’s Parts in the USA sell cast iron inserts for the mid 80’s alloy L98 heads, they ship all over the world. I got a set sent here to repair a pair of these heads. They also have bronze guides, have a look here:
