I’m just wondering how to de-pin a factory connector. I’ve done this ages ago but I can’t remember what side of the terminal the tool goes and what style tool is best. Any help is appreciated!

Usually from the front, and keep trying until you find the right tool.

If you look carefully you may be able to see the locating tang from the front of the connector.

I generally used to use a small jewellers screwdriver.

A bit more robust.

Cheers

And push each terminal hard in from the back and hold it there while you try to bend the tang down.
