Hi all, I’m trying to work out which nut goes on first and which way up? Number 5 is called a “stamped nut”and number 6 is called a “Hex jam nut” is the jam nut installed first and which way up? Thanks Paul.

Paul, the big silver nut goes on first and the black sheetmetal type nut is a lock nut.

Thanks Dave.does the sheet metal type one face up or down?

Can only face one way really, to bear on the main nut. So the bent up sides face upward.
