I am going to look at some rims and trim rings for a LC torana

Are there any non genuine items out there and how do I differentiate between original and knock offs if they exist

Thanks in Advance

Yes, copies and from other makes as well, I think Cortina for one. Torana original can be identified by the way they lock onto the rim. Several spike projections, some one will have a picture. Rares also had some reproductions about 12 years ago. Were very good, I have a set on my GTR.

I think I still have some of those from my GTR that were damaged, some where in a shed.

I had a set that looked right until you fitted them on a rim. They snapped on fine but the outside diameter was about 7mm short of the outer rim edge. Didn't look quite right.
