After 25 years the the plastic chrome in my repo internal door panels had started to go brown [ see photo ] the vinyi is still good so i thought i would try out the chrome paints iv heard about . So i got a can of easy chrome from VG Paints . After masking up and making sure it was clean i put down a plastic primer then you must use a 2k gloss black as a base [ which you can get in a can with a button that you press to mix the two part paint ] they stress that you need to leave that for at least 3 days to dry before applying the chrome paint . The only problem i had was when using the 2k black without a proper booth it did keep attracting dust , i just waited for it to dry sanded it out then painted over that spot again . Overall they came up reasonably good they look more like a metal insert than the plastic [see photo] anyway they'll do for now.
Plastic chrome in door panels revived.

Nice job mate. Always skeptical with any sort of chrome in a can, but that looks good for the job.

Could be suitable for the instrument panel and lower dash.
