Hi,

Have a few questions, looking for ideas.

putting a LJ Torana back on the road after many years parked up and have a few questions....

built 202 bottom / worked 173 top.

B&M shifter install on a column shifter auto. Already has shifter installed but not wiring has been connected. Was wondering how people went about hook up the B&M micro switch's for reverse lights and neutral safety? don't want to cut and shut into factory loom would rather keep wiring factory so can put back to factory shifter if wanted in the future?

Mechanical fan or thermofan? currently has a poorly installed thermofan at the moment, thinking got back to a factory engine fan? thoughts?

Interior blower fan inop. does anyone have wiring info the the blower fan system current not wires connected at all.

Will be searching the Electrical section for wiring diagrams etc, when I'm allowed to download links.

Much appreciated Damo

The wiring required, very much depends whether or not the car was originally an auto or a manual.

If it was an auto, just wire to the 2 plugs near the bottom of the steering column. The green wires are for the reverse lights & the purple wires are for the starter inhibitor.

If the car was originally a manual, there is only one plug (green wires for reverse). You can add the wire for the starter inhibitor by dropping the steering column & remove the purple wire terminal from the ignition switch plug & connect into that.

By doing it this way, you are not butchering the factory harness.
