Hi all, just been cleaning up an old louvre I’ve had in my shed for ages, it’s in good order but the black finish on it is a bit ordinary, any ideas on what to put on it to bring it up?
Thanks

Most brands of car cleaning products will have plastic polishes that should clean the oxidized surface.

Personally I have found chrome polish to be quite effective on smooth to lightly textured plastic surfaces.

I prefer 'Blue Magic' as it is a very smooth creamy consistency but you can only buy it online these days.

Whatever you decide to use always test on an inconspicuous spot first.

Thanks guys, thinking that something with a dye in it might do the job, although the louvre is in good nick the previous owner had painted it red, have got most of it off except for a few very faint areas that wont come off,  will check them out

Eastwoods do a plastic paint that is a bit of a solvent that eats into the plastic rather than sit on top , it gives a flat sort of finish which i think would be close to the original finish . It’s not cheap like most of the Eastwood’s stuff
