Hi All,

Last time I purchased a rear door hinge repair kit it had 4 x  brass bushes.

This time it came with 2 x brass and 2 x Nylon.

HOLDEN HD HR EJ EH HKTG REAR DOOR HINGE PIN RUST REPAIR BUSH KIT TORANA LX LH UC | eBay

Question is , is there a consensus on whether the brass bush goes on the bottom or top of hinge?

Thanks

dunno where they are supposed to go but would think the brass bush goes on top of the top hinge

and on the bottom of the of the bottom hinge.

that's where the most load is ?

I do not understand why there are any plastic bushes there... has there been any disadvantages of using the brass on both bushes? Plenty of cars (including mine) would have had this upgrade done.

I would be using the brass bush on the side where the spring acts against. Which in the case of the Torana, it is the top.

My thoughts exactly. It must be cheaper the use the plastic one on the lighter rear door.

But think I might buy another kit and just use all brass bushes.

Thanks all.
