I have replaced the instrument cluster from an SL to a SLR in my LX. I had the gauges checked out before fitting them. All work fine except for the amp gauge. Does any one know what needs to be done to the wiring given the previous cluster only had a warning light?

That's right. LC/LJ GTR had an ammeter, but the LH/LX SL/R got a voltmeter. It uses the same 12V supply & earth as the other gauges, so if it's not reading, then you might have a gauge issue.

And you will still need the warning light.

Dont replace it with an LED either.

Cheers
