Yeah, right....

Except that greys have a completely different engine mount set-up, different crank bolt pattern for the flexplate and different shift gate pattern.

That comment belongs on Facebook.

There is a kit by Roger Hancock. Plenty do it because it's hard to get the hydramatics rebuilt now and yes the trimatic is an improvement. Even better with a seven bearing donk in front of it.

Yes Bruce, agricultural ain't it?

Nice Laurie

Funny enough

I went to visit my mate Blacky this afternoon as I had to pick up some parts

He had one the same... same colour... on his hoist today doing some work on the diff for a mate (manual though)

I didn't think to take pics

Nice clean unit too

He's got a few of them himself in various states of (dis)repair

Good fella to know for such things

sorry, bit harsh gene. Red motor is the go but brake upgrade required unless it’s a 138 red generally.

:D Best Dad joke ever! Lovely car, brings back happy memories for me. My Dad owned a EK station wagon that was eventually cut down to make a ute for his grass cutting business.

Wow. What a car.

You can see the plugs in both the B pillar and C pillar where the belts are mounted in mine.  It should be here in about 14 days, so I can have a closer look then.

Hey Laurie.   I think the guy uses it as a burnout car.  again I will check.  They do Auto fest and stuff like that.    Phil Bond Central Coast.  Great engine builder.   I had a quick look inside it.  it has a drag shift thingy in it.   lol    cheers mate.

Zero hope of registering one with a V8 in WA. Maybe a 253 if you're lucky.

Id say a nice little V6 would be nice in one of these if you had to do a swap.

I test drove this one a few months ago. The 4.3 felt just as heavy as a 350 over the front wheels. Maybe one of the later Commodore motors would be better.
