Hi Guys,

This horn was in my car. However, it is different to the picture in the LH manual. It fits and seems to belong there, so is it from a different holden model?

cheers.

It is an R.V.B horn which is the brand GMH used. I am not familiar with the style of horns used on the LH/LX Torana but it does look like the type used on LC/LJ Torana and the HQ Holdens.

Can you post a pic showing the mounting bracket?

I'm not at home to check mine, but I thought that one was correct. However I notice that Brad has this one?

Here it is.... It does look slightly different to Brad's one. I can see Made in Australia on the back. I suppose I just want to know if it will be out of place on my LH.

If you rub back the paint around the bolt hole, you should find the manufactured date stamp which should give you a clue.

I found that the rounded trumpet type have earlier year dates stamped eg. 74, 75 & the flat trumpet type with, 77.

I haven't got a horn dated 76 so a little unsure which type it would be. Someone might be able to confirm..

The rounded trumpet ones go back at least to 1960. RVB brand.
