Good evening all
Need to replace rear door on the Lh due to previous bad repairs are lx-uc the same ?

Yes
As far as I know.
The later doors have the crush rail in the door.

Anything from mid '74 is going to have the intrusion bar.

Doors are same same. Only difference is the trim dowels on LX UC but easy to remove. 

 

If you are fitting the LH trims you can source new rivet type dowels from RS.

Have a May 74 car, no side intrusion bars.

Passenger cars manufactured from 1st Jan 1977 had to have side intrusion bars. Found it on the net. Looked like an old document from that time.

Correct, ADR 29 - Stiffness of Doors. Effective on and from the 01/01/1977.

Yeah, my '76 sedan has no intrusion bars - I always thought they came much later, so 1977 onwards sounds spot-on.
