I currently have low kings springs all the way around.
Problem is with the kids in the back, the exhaust hits my diff. I have put 16mm spacers in the back and it is better, but thinking I need a stiffer spring as it feels floaty.
What are my options?
Thanks
Dave

Higher rated springs and good shocks for a start would help. Bit hard to provide more advice when you haven't really given us much to go on, like the brand/part number of spring you are currently running.

Cheers, Gerry

It will be pretty stiff if you have it set up for a full passenger load and mightn’t be much fun to drive with just you in it. Unless the roads you frequent are super smooth.

Taller bump stop to stop travel before contact with other things might be a better solution.

Or move the exhaust…..

The other possibility is fitting airbags?..Pump 'em up when you need to.
Alternately...some progressive rate springs, so you normally ride around on the " normal " lb coils but when they compress due to heavy loads, you start to run on the " heavy coils" and you don't squat too much?

Can't remember the part number. They are low king springs to suit LH Torana. I figured all King Springs would pretty much be the same.

Thanks Rexy, I do plan on heading back to the exhaust shop. He said it was a bloody tight fit, so will see what they can do. I reckon it is only hitting in one spot, so fi gets crossed! If not, the hammer may have to come out lol.

I looked into airbags. Wasn't keen on having to cut bump stop mounts off the diff and the lip off the top spring mount on the body.
Any info on what progressive rate springs people use?

Or just air shocks, this is basically what they were designed for

Hi, try SA suspension in pooraka and have a chat they have been helpful and offer to exchange springs if you try some they don’t work and you don’t damage them. Also you could try bilstien in Sydney, half of there business is air supported suspension which involves a bag inside the spring you are running which can be pumped up when you have a bigger load, I had a very good conversation with a guy called Andrew and he was very informative and helpful. Just some ideas. Cheers

I had the polyair bags on a 4runner. They do the job of raising the suspension and taking extra load and no compromise on shock absorbers. Suspension was pretty stiff with them pumped up to 60psi.
