I’d read that Sparesbox were bought by the same company that owns Repco? I saw they were having a sale so jumped on their website to have a look at prices. Sure enough everything was much cheaper than SCA, Repco, Autobarn even with the fright costs.

The website said all the items I wanted were in stock. $401.10 worth. It’s just Ryco service parts for the Corolla. Air filters/oil!filters/cabin filters/fuel filters etc. I bought a few of each as they were on special.

That was the 28th February that I placed that order. I’ve received 2 air filters and one fuel filter thus far over two seperate packages at different dates.

They don’t have a phone number that gets answered. Just an automated bs message about COVID effecting their call centre. I’ve emailed their support email about 10 times and get a generic response with a date items will ship.

When I check the my orders tracking details on their website, it states that it’s complete. I’m still short over $200 odd worth of items.

I’ve lodged a complaint with Qld Dept of Fair Trading.

Don’t buy from Sparesbox.

I’ve had similar issues with various suppliers during the past two years. So far things turned up, eventually…..

These are the generic replies I get. The only thing that changes is the ship date. Yet the items never arrive. No idea who Me is?

Hi Me,

Anyone who has placed an order online only for it to be unexpectedly delayed would be disappointed. I hope you can accept my most sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

With current global challenges and the impact this is having on the global supply chain, we’re experiencing some stock availability and replenishment delays. We are working hard to overcome these delays as quickly as we can.

At this stage, we predict it will be dispatched from our warehouse on or before 19/04/2022.

If we receive an update advising that the delay is longer than predicted above, you will be notified immediately. We will continue with this order unless you let us know you need to cancel in which case we will organise a full refund.

Please note:
Once you're tracking number has been sent, a cancellation will not be available.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will do all I can to help.

Kind Regards,
Noah

Anywhere that is a cheap online retailer (that don't have big warehouses full of what is listed on their website) is destined to struggle at the moment... as supply chains certainly are performing terribly in all industries.

Two months is shocking, though, if it's just service parts that you would assume would be at a supplier somewhere in Australia.

I know, I got caught up in the fancy sales slogan and sales pitch and was a totally gullible sheep.

Its just common Ryco stuff to suit a common Toyota Corolla, that is in stock at any other stores.

I received the air filters, then a week later the fuel filter showed up. That was probably a month or more ago now.

Paypal will force their hand - they have the ability to refund you regardless of what sparesbox do or say.

Need a bloody special tool to get it in and out. What a stupid idea. Last time it was replaced was a loooooong time ago by Toyota as part of a recall.

Give it a day or so to get into the system.

Had that problem with another mob I bought off.

Even had one where it was delivered before the tracking number became active.

Cheers

Rob

Ordered a speedo cable from Autocables recently. Shipping advice took nearly a week and the estimated delivery date was weeks away. Next day cable was in my letterbox.

Same thing happening everywhere...

I've bought a lot of stuff off sparesbox, never had an issue... even returned somethings through ebay, they provided return shipping label and gave full refund.
