Watching the Supercars in WA today.
Good to see Courtney back on the podium.
I was wondering about his new Caravan sponsor. Seems they are owned and built in China, and final finish off done here in Aus.
Suprised me.
p.s. Good to see an XU1 clean up the V8s in the Historic race. Particularly on such a fast flowing circuit.

Now that's just plain dirty racing. The Torana nudged the HQ twice in that lot.

Yes just spent the weekend out there. Good racing in the Dunlop series. Truth be told I even sort of warmed to the the ute racing.

XU-1 driver behaved pretty badly there. Emotions were obviously running very high.

Great to see these cars getting flogged around a racetrack. Those HQ Monaros all drifting around that corner is gorgeous.

Yes I watched the highlights of the race...and the spin at the end. Now I'm not a racing expert and have never raced. So it was interesting reading all of the feedback..It was sort of a 50/50 split on who was a fault.

Plus we don't know what went on that we didn't see. But that's what makes racing fun for the spectators.

Looked to me like the Blue Q gave the XU1 a kiss on the arse 1st.

I think the Monaro was given a gentle nudge from Karma.

Yeah well I read it as:
- Blue HQ very clearly made a mistake.
- Green LJ responded very emotionally to that mistake, and then exercised some dubious race ethics in retalliation.

No doubt it takes quite a strong character to not throw a tantrum when someone hits your Torana. On the racetrack, I hope I could keep a level head about it but I'm only couch racing today.

My reading -
HQ outbraked himself and hit XU1
XU1 thought it not nice.
XU1 returned serve at the same spot a lap or two later.

One of the differences with Historic racing is the somewhat gentlemanly driving that normally occurs and is expected.
Maybe running st a SC weekend in from of a big crowd / on TV just got everyone a bit exited. Tht red mist can be hard to see through sometimes...

HQ made a mistake. What the LJ did was no mistake.  The HQ was reeling him in anyway.

I'm sure the guy driving the Torana will claim he was just holding the racing line and the HQ driver cut across in front of him.

Does anyone know why Race one  of the Historic Group N  was called.  No results.  I have third hand speculation (prob a guess) that the field were read the riot act by driving standards official  and again not sure but i don't think that race was under the control of Craig Baird, who received some fairly poor social media treatment after giving a 5 second penalty in the main game race.

Not sure, thought it may have been "absorbed" into the time it took to fix the fence/gate after the SC prang?
