Apart from the Diesel Gemini , did GMH ever toy with the idea of other models?

I've copied this from somewhere.

Fate of the 186 Diesel

On a visit by Repco’s Nigel Tait to GMH engine chief

Fred James took the opportunity to inquire about the engine.

Nigel confirmed it had existed but was destroyed in a fuel fire

when being used to drive a standby generator during the SEC

power strike era of the late 1970’s.

Love the $8 per hour labour rate.

What about a fuel bill of $59 for an entire month ? Gotta love the early-mid 70s.
