I'm chasing a 5" High A9X Scoop - Carbie sticks through the Bonnet - don't really want "Reverse Cowl Type" - who should I try?

How legal do you want to be?
Going by the letter of the law (aka the NCOP) your bonnet scoop must be made of mild steel...

Maybe this mob do one to suit Torana? Or modify the HQ one to fit.

My Repliglass enlarged A9X scoop is just shy of 5" tall, so it would be close to what you're looking for. Shown in my build thread here:

I cut mine down in length (and moved it back) as much as I could while still clearing my front intake trumpets. With a single carburetor, you could probably cut it a little shorter/further back again if you wanted, as you don't have the front trumpets sticking through the bonnet that you need to worry about.
Repliglass said in an e-mail to me when I was doing my research:
"These are the only ones I could find the end picture is showing the 3 different sizes we have. The middle one being the standard scoop, sizes of the scoops are
SL/R SCOOP 900MM LONG X 580MM WIDE X 90MM HIGH IN THE CENTRE
OVERSIZED SCOOP 1100MM LONG X 630MM WIDE X 120MM HIGH"

I personally think the are visually very dominating, but if you've got the "weight" of wide wheels and flares, spoilers etc. then it helps to balance that out.
If you leave them the standard length (they are much longer than a factory A9X scoop as you can see in the photo above), I think they look quite bad, haha.

Thanks for that Info Heath - I rang Repliglass - I think we have it sorted. I'll try and put up a Photo for before and after.
