Nice to see Todd's getting a dressing down as hey enjoys doing that to others.

Lost me at Toranafest when he had great pleasure in putting Down Barry AKA Pop's-SS if front of the whole crowd.

Barry made out it didn't bother him but years later he still talks about it.

I heard whispers that when Todd bought the Yellow Dolly XU1 he told a few people he was going to build a replica of 40C.

Suddenly it was the real deal even though the XU1 he bought was so rusted out that he re-shelled it.

He had no choice but to admit it wasn't KSA-302 when AMC magazine confronted him with all the evidence that Johnno provided them, however he only made the admission as a victim of a deception perpetrated upon him.

I believe he threw H.F under the bus because he claims it was H.F who confirmed that the car was indeed the old HDT KSA-302.

And that 3100x020859 engine number. If Ian Tate is responsible for that engine number then he only stamped exactly what Todd told him to stamp.

Thanks for enlightening me guys. I trust you guys on here, you are the real experts on these cars.

I'm not the sort of person that dislikes someone because of others experience and would love to hear the other two sides to the story. (your side, their side and the truth). I also like to make my own mind up after hearing all the info.

Keep doing what you do and calling out fake cars. Your awesome!

Marty

Reshell too hey... this story just gets better and better!

When are AMC going to publish another apology to correct the original apology where they started the car is a genuine XU-1?

If Johnno had provided proof of the car being a re-shell then it may have gotten a mention.

Might be time to revisit that :)  Does he enter it in the nationals? Wonder which class it will go in... lol

I'm going to the Mountain as well - went 2002 (passenger), 2012 (driver) - both great events, as should this one be as well, and may possibly be the last?

Yes TM has organized this event and the other 2, and there is now very questionable history/background, but without TM there would be no event/celebration for us of Brock's victory at the Mount. I'm still/going for that and I'm sure there will be more than enough others similar minded that I/we will have a good time.

Looking forward to catching up Marty.

I'm looking forward to it as well.

It will be a great way to celebrate Brocky and enjoy our cars.

See you there!
