My Lx Torana Hatch - had it for over 21 years and was a regular daily driver for about 15 of those after I bent my other one a SS hatch beyond repair (during a cyclone in 1990). This one was just a SL but soon converted to a V8 & 9". Started doing hillclimbs in 2002 with some success and the car eventually became full time sprint and hillclimb racer - it is now a absolute weapon and reguarly beats all other V8's by heaps (2 sec+) and a few Nissan Skylines & Evo's on the tight track where we run sprints. Last year had a 1st outright with 35 entries at one round.
Still working on getting it to handle a bit better each year and building a nice 355 stroker at the moment for this year, we are pushing some some more sponsors as we have the V8 Supers cars coming to town for the 1st time, so the focus is on motorsport and V8's in particular. I also have another one a 76 hatch I'm doing up as a street car (just miss driving them!) The good news for it is that it gets a lot of the replaced bits from the race car. Hope to have it on the road by easter.
