a mild 350 chev is about the Max I'd be putting infront of a T5 personally.
i have done it the expensive way by getting a holden V8 box, and now needing to either cut up my floor and do away with the console or having to buy a ford rear housing to make it line up properly, I wanna keep my console.
if you are mechanically minded you could have a crack at rebuilding one yourself, the workshop service manual is available as a pdf online. something I wanna try with my next one

You'll need a press to do the whole job but its pretty straight-forward and becomes a whole lot cheaper when you only have to pay for parts. Theres plenty of them
One most likely starts with 1352 ....
Then use the internat to search for the box # and it might even tell you what it came out of
Or post it here and I might be able to find it for you in our parts cattledogs

yeah I have had a quick look through the manual, looks simple enough, getting on a press is no big deal to me.
I have found pages somewhere stating what part #'s are from what vehicle. it amazed me in the range of cars they came in, even 4x4's, it spun me out seeing one with a transfer case attached lol

Not sure it will last long ... but if your rnning a banjo and light feet it might get to the end of the driveway... lol
T5 might not be your best option here ... they are good enough... but not rated for big HP

Can still buy them new... still going to set you back but they are a nice box
You'll likely find a TKO would probably be overkill for about the same money
Choices... are personal

Again not fitted factory to many cars ... unless your in USA
Floor mods are minor but required to clear linkages

Dellow make conversion kits to make them fit
If you want to spring for a new box... they are still available from Toyota... but don't buy from them direct
