Got quoted $520 to supply only the front two seatbelts for a VX Commodore. Surely there are some cheaper options for new belts that will pass ADR's?

It's for a VX. The front belts are farked and I'd rather replace them BEFORE Mr Plod sees them. It's that time of year, remember.

My hatch is running VZ seats and seat belts. I went to the local Bursons auto parts and purchased new Klipan (brand name) seat belts for around $100 each, they are made in Australia I believe and are supplied to O.E manufactures.

The place I went to said there was no listing in their Klippan book for a VX. I have since found them on APV's website. I shall now go elsewhere, thanks for the tip.

If you want me to look for the used set I have let me know but I am not sure if I can get there before the 28th although Will try if you want them
Car they came from was stat right off, no physical damage, some electrical fire under bonnet so I don't think they were used or crashed in, had 76,000km
Cheers, Tom

Because I take safety very seriously, I am not interested in using second hand seatbelts.

The damage was only noticed after I drove the car. That's because I had to pull the seatbelt out a lot further than the owner. Whilst I agree with what you said rexy, the seatbelt won't get any better by ignoring the problem.

You should be able to get some Klippan or Hemco replacement belts surely, they're both ADR approved too.
