If you would like to drive some laps of a race circuit (and you live in NSW) here is another option to get you on track.
You don’t need a race car or a dedicated track car to enjoy some on-track fun.
Last weekend I took my Mazda 2 daily driver to Wakefield Park for a track day. The day was run by John Boston’s Trackschool Trackdays http://www.trackscho....au/Default.htm
It is well organised, well run and a heap of fun.
You will need your own car – road car, track car or race car.
Or you can hire one of their race cars.
Experienced instructors are on hand to help you improve your driving.
Timing transponders are provided so you can check your times.
You can take a passenger in alternate sessions.
You will need to wear closed in shoes, socks, long pants and long sleeve shirt. And bring your own helmet.
If you don’t have a club/motorsport licence, a Wakefield day licence is $25 and can be organised at the Wakefield Park office on the day.
Thanks to Dave Oliver Photography for the pictures.
