The body number is correct, same as the PSN but without the model code suffix. BTW the body number is suffixed M.
The exact original engine number is anyone's guess.

Yep the chassis/body has ALH019788
Just wasn't sure if it should be the same as the 448935M on the big plate (body no) But I think it is ok to be different??

I would of thought that plate should be painted body colour, someone has cleaned it up

Chassis number and body number are in different number sequences.

You can't really, it may have just had rust in that front tray panel where the chassis number is stamped (it's a reasonably common place for rust), or it may have had accident damage, or as you say it may have been rebodied at some point in it's life?
With close inspection, someone who knows what they're looking for can usually get a good sense of whether everything is hunky dory or not, although the LH model is a bit harder to pick because it didn't have near the ongoing development that the LX did.
