Thanks guys for info on this forum. I have looked but cannot find this info.
I want to run 14 x 8 hotwires on my LH with SLR flares. What offsets should I have (backspace measurement) so that the wheels are just inside flares and that they do not also rub or foul anywhere. Want them to look right, not a mile inside the flares. They are not the wider flares, just normal SLR flares. Re front rims, I am hoping that the 8" rims will not rub on flare bottoms or gaurds, the gaurds have all been cut.
Thanks again for any help.

My measurements with 255mm rubber in mind was that you'd need a minimum neg 10 offset for the rears and 0 offset for the fronts. -20 would probably be just inside rear SLR flares.
I sat a 265mm tyre under the rears and took photos at both +7 and -7 offsets given that there was listings of both +7 and -7 for A9X. With the SLR sized rear flares +7 was way too inset with -7 being a maybe.

The old 14 x 8 Hotwires with 4.25 inch backspace and a 245/50/14 will clear.

I think 14x8 Hotwires will sit well inside the guards at the rear. I have 14x10 Hotwires with a 265/50 on the rear of mine and they sit perfectly so I’d imagine a 14x8 wouldn’t fill it although they fill the front guards.
If you can get some 14x10’s go for it as the 265 Tyre is readily available now

Yeah, I'd say you'd be wanting a backspace somewhere around 3" if running 8 inch wheels to fill rear guards. A 4.25 backspace would work out to about a zero offset which would be fine for the front but not the rear.

Thanks for that guys, I have a set of just purchased what was told was LH pattern rims but got a shock when went to fit and they are HQ stud pattern hotwires and measuring them and working out where they would sit they are good for back but stick outside flare at front. They are ROH rims but have a very deep offset. Will not be using them as wany to keep torana stud pattern.
Will be selling the HQ rims shortly.
