I made EL falcon fans fit reasonably easy (LX) very efficient fans and nice and quiet.

LJ rail to rail 675 mm
LH/LX 685 mm to skirt, 725 mm rail to rail.
AU fans narrower than EL/EF at 695 mm. Both are pretty thick in the centre.
Big single fan would be good but hub thickness prevents central mounting in many cars so have to offset mount and not able to cover radiator effectively.
Saab 9-5 fans and Ford mondo fans have been used by some as are a neat fit on a HQ size radiator.
I have had to use twin spal on both my LJs as the space in front of the engine prevented any of the other options.
There are other creative solutions but they require a fair bit more mucking around.

hi rexy as i would like to have tow fans push as with a hq v8 3 row with the water pump in a lj torana there is only like half a inch of space between the water pump and the radiator.

Just remeasured the AU and EF fans I have here.
The AU are 430mm tall and the EF are 450 mm tall and 700mm wide. You can trim the shroud a bit on the EF but less so on the AU ones.
Both are way too tall to fit in front of the radiator. Too thick also and clash with the left and right ends of the grill.
Dedicated push style fans are available. They are less efficient than puller style. I don’t know if the Saab or mondeo fans have reversible blades to change from puller to pusher.

The spal USA site is very helpful. I used it to work out exactly what I could fit spacewise and got the biggest CFM rating I could. Some of the very big CFM fans will require dedicated relays. As CFM goes up hub thickness tends to increase.
Don’t be tempted by the Chinese cheapies.
If you put the fans out the front where will you put your transmission cooler?
