This looks like your only option Neil. It was only listed last week, and according to their newsletter it has already sold. Just who would pay 130k for a faker?

I don't mind that colour... awkward metallic
But no big gay wheels for me or 2 speed
My 350 is also 383 with Patriot heads... hmm... but not for this car... 331 stroker meat pie

I like first option if car is in good condition it would be easiest/quickest to complete then move it on.
Keeper would be burger with the lot L34 or A9X replica

I actually really like that orchid metallic LX - looks like a very well executed build. 6 digit sale figures for mock-ups though - it's staggering! Great to see people spending their money on Holden cars they desire - that one above obviously ticks all the boxes.

My vote is first pic. No flares and solid colour. I like factory/sleeper looks. But if you are selling, then like others have said, flares and brightness will cast a wider net. Crazy prices on these little Torries!

I've been approached to build the car by someone
They want Palais white , A9x treatment
18Y trim
383 stroker , manual
All things I guess I could achieve
But at what cost... that's the thing

I already have a 383 ready to be assembled that was going to go into my hatch
In fact I have a lot of parts to complete the job... but not everything of course
And as far as selling it as it is... not really an option...I'd rather keep it for myself and finish it in my own time
I'm not looking for cash up here... just use up lots or parts I've accumulated over the years
I've been telling this guy the last 5 years to bugger off... lol
Yes I'd need to find a suitable manual box... thats probably the hardest/most costly parts of the exercise

Stick with Sable. Being a factory colour on the car will make is more desirable in my eyes. I am pretty sure you don't like green Datto but you also can't go past a Barbados L34 replica :-)

It isn't an SL/R so it doesn't make a big difference if it is the original colour or not. I reckon no flares and Deauville Blue.

Bright, solid factory colour with SL/R paint scheme is easy to paint, and good for giving you a hard-on every time you see it before it's for sale.
I own two old cars in silver. It's boring as hell. I wouldn't recommend it.
Flares probably sell better, but grouse with or without.
Only do Ultra Blue with Chamois trim if you intend on not selling it... because it would be pretty hard to own perfection like that, and then let someone else have it.

I had no idea you owned that one. How many Toranas do you reckon you've had all up?

Each to there own but selling purposes anything Silver would be risky
quick sale colours would be red, yellow ,blue or white cant go wrong with those combos on Torana with flares
White? pfffttt.

Silver is a go to colour atm... everything on the road seems to be silver or black
Thanks for the suggestions all
Now I just need to find space to start pulling it apart

Best bang for buck would be original paint with any rust repaired, worked V8 of some description, 15' or 16' black steelies with dress rings, no flares and suitable transmission and diff. That's the look right now. If it can run a twelve they'll be beating down your door.
