Here is my current (sort of daily) drive. Went to pick up a part for the Torana and walked away with this lol. You've heard about good 5 metre cars, well this is a good 50 metre car. Cleaned it up, converted it back from gas, chucked my 253 out of the Torana into it and got it up and running. Driveline is ok but body in need of TLC. I'm contemplating retiring it (if I don't sell it) and see if I can do a "cheap" resto. It's a lot like me, Hand to handle (manual steering) and doesn't like firing up on cold mornings lol. Cheers Ron

Here is a WB Kingswood I had back in the late 80's.
I havnt had many utes just a couple of 4x4 early hilux and bravo duel cab.
Would love a VE ute just to put in the shed but they were cheap at one stage then jumped up in price a year or so ago.

Do you mean it's a Commodore ute, and only Byron and Gene would argue that it's not? In which case I agree. Anyone who agrees with Gene needs their head read.Ok, well anyone besides you and Byron would argue its not a commodore ute.

Last ute I owned over 20yrs ago - bought it from some country town, hence the spotties & bullbar with mudflaps (it even had Lee Kernaghan's autograph on the dash!)

Mine I am re-engineering. sidesa.jpg
I have got a TJ here, but it is under a shed roof that fell on it about 35 years ago, so I haven't seen it for a while. You have done a great job with yours. Made a silk purse out of a sour's ear.

Internationals have been in our family since 1935. I should have traded in the S-Line when the new Eagles were released, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I don't want any other engine than the N14 Cummins. 1.2 million kays and never put a spanner on it until now. (Rear head gasket was leaking oil so we are changing them now)
Cheaper truck rego in WA , than NSW Laurie?
$5,200 in WA. $6,300 in NSW.

My old 2003 XR6T ute. Hocked it back in 2009 to fund a house deposit. From memory, I bought it for $30,000 in 2007, sold it for $21,000....... Made 296kw / 396hp @ the wheels, which was kind of on the limit of a BA bottom end. I didnt want to push it.
Had the valve springs, injectors, intercooler/pipework/intake upgraded. Bosch 044 fuel pump/surge tank etc. PWR V8 trans cooler. Still ran a stock exhaust but fitted a high flow catalytic converter.
I was fortunate enough to be able to be involved in the tuning and got to run it myself on the dyno whilst the tuner ran around and worked his magic.

Commodore Ute as my daily. I do wish I’d bought an SS but it’s still great for moving car parts around, not sure how I survived without one for so long.
