A Like for all of the above tips. Thanks
I will give Paul's link, where you actually lift the bonnet , to drop the back ( assume it tilts the hinge ) is worth a go.
Will try it tomorrow.
I had drafted the following , before reading the tips...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The back of this bonnet sits up about 20mm. I suspect it was done as some sort of cold air type idea.
I did take the hinge assembly off, elongated the hinge to inner guard hole ( on the hinge ), so the hinge assembly could be pushed down further.
Refitted the bonnet.
No difference, even thought the elongation was a good 6 or 7mm?
Took them back off and looked for slop in the pivots....very minimal.
Ended up swapping them with a set off another LJ ( the bonnet sits properly on that car, so asume hinges are good )...even though there is at least the same amount of slop in the pivots ( minimal).
The 20mm gap on the problem car is now more like a good 10mm. The hinges can't be lowered any further.
I can't understand how the bonnet doesn't drop, when the hinges are dropped.

As noted, will try the other tips tomorrow. Ta
