They are one of the best when it comes to LX SLR and SS dashes.One of the forum members posted pictures of his dash after it was restored at Dash Original a while back,it looked the goods.

that was HSVGTS. He had his redone by them, from memory over $400?

Over $400??? The way the finished product looks I thought somewhere between $1,500 - $2,000!
Have asked them for a ballpark figure for full resto, Ill let you know.

This is the quote I was given a couple of months ago.
Dash Fascia and Underpanels - Complete Restoration
There are 4 main parts to this complete dash area restoration
Minor repairs and recolour original silver.
New heater panel insert
Ashtray restoration
New tyre placard decal available
RT decal available
Knobs restoration
Total Cost $595
Replace radio pocket $50. You supply the pocket from another dash.

This is the thing i guess, finding a good dash to start with. Look how much the last few good uncut lower SS/SLR dashes have gone for on Ebay.

I spoke to them last week and they said that they dont do the vaccum chroming on the edgeing of the dash they only paint it silver .
So does anyone here know who does vaccum chroming here in Australia?

nope, no one wants to do it. There was one place that would to it, but they dipped the whole item so yeah, imagine that, and they are no longer around.
