I'm having my LC GTR seats done right now and they should be back in about 2 weeks. Then it's off to the local trimmer for fitting.
I've had this done before from Eastern and it has worked out very well.

I remember seeing them on e-bay.Does anyone know who the people are, who advertise on ebay with the LC GTR Seatcovers and if so their contact details. Has anybody bought them and had them installed in their car over old seat frames. thanks
I contacted the seller "auto_reproduction_trim" from e-bay. (He is the one that lists new rooflining on e-bay) He will do a entire seat kit for a GTR in the original nylex vinyl for $1700. He said you just remove the old fabric and fit the new.
Not too sure if I will go through with it yet, need to do some more homework on it. Since I am in New Zealand it makes it a little bit harder

Yup. I think that's the one. Good price if they are made with original pattern vinyl.Would you be thinking of the skin set starting at $945 and buy it now for $1000?
Can't find the link on ebay at the moment, but should come up again.
Wouldn't the person making these covers need your original seats to get the correct size?
They wouldn't look too good if he made them a tad too small.

The vinyl they use would be readily available.
IMHO $945 seems a little hefty for plain stitched vinyl covers that you have to fit yourself.

Contact that coburg super trim, he will make them if he doesnt have any in stock.
you would not be able to get them cheaper and atlest you no they will fit.

that was having 2 LC dashes done as well
but my trimmer who doesn't do much car work mainly leather furniture thought it would be cheaper if I bought a roll but wasn't sure on roll size, he only buys enough for each job, cut lengths
I have 2 sandalwood cars and need 2 front sets (4seats) and 1 back seat
I will ring and ask supplier but I like to have a 2nd opinion unbiased and genuine so I know what is required

Have had them fitted to seats by them and they are as per original.
Believe me, putting the covers on a seat is a job for a professional trimmer.

In the back of the last couple of Petrolhead mags, there has been an ad for Stitch'n'Trim Interiors. Repro covers for Aussie cars. An Australian company advertising in a NZ mag.Not too sure if I will go through with it yet, need to do some more homework on it. Since I am in New Zealand it makes it a little bit harder

Are they excatly like original LC GTR? (ie complete with plastic button on the under side of the upper half of front seat, grain of fabric)Yes I have got a set from Supertrim Vinyl Hardtop at Coburg Melb.
Have had them fitted to seats by them and they are as per original.

Can you post a couple of pics?

that is:
They match an original.
Material is the same.
Do not know what you mean about the plastic button unless:
The front seat back reast has a panel with piping around it. The panel is fitted with hidden fastners.
At the base of the front seat back reast the material is fastened with three plastic studs.
Again I would say these covers should only be fitted by an experienced auto trimmer. Preparation of the seat springs, fitting protection over the sharp edges of the frame and foam padding MUST be done correctly; or the covers will self destroy in no time.
Purchasing the covers and then having them fitted by a auto trimmer is about the same cost as having one trimmer do the lot. The advantage is that if you do not have to chase down a trimmer who has the pattern.

The plastic buttons I mentioned are what you described "at the base of the front seat reast the meterial is fastened with three plastic stud"As far as I can tell they are exactly the same as original LC GTR & GTR XU1;

Since I am in New Zealand I just thought it would be easier to get the seat covers done in Australia as I want the original fabric and pattern

I stand corrected boomfunk, I have just finished the rear seat base for an LC GTR, a bit more time than your regular "tuck 'n' roll".for what you are getting $945 is bargain !!.
Contact that coburg super trim, he will make them if he doesnt have any in stock.
