According to my books its 1.5mm...according to others on here its 1.3 mm..I'm not getting into another slanging match over 0.2 mm...take your pick.

I thought it was 1.3mm. It's a bit academic really, just go down and buy a set of VK Commodore V8 plugs, they are pre-gapped.

Glenn,
when i changed mine to 6's i gaped them at 1.3mm & there doing well although i think i could go to 7's.

Ultra, if you're likely to be running rich at any part of the rev range and have a rev range well in excess of the standard specs for an electronic ignition V8, go a little smaller than the specified gap. Richer mixtures are harder to ignite, and higher revs mean less time to build up to peak spark energy. A slightly smaller gap will result in a 'fatter' (but shorter) spark, which should give less chance of misfires due to richer mixtures or higher revs.
