Hahaha, now that secret is out Woodsies won't have any NOS Mylar left soon.
Should have ordered a double quantity so you've got some for 'ron, just store it in a cool dark place.

yep! be careful!Any tips or tricks on fitting this stuff? When I installed the windscreens I used Car Wash as a lube.... Thinking maybe I should do the same with this stuff? I cant really get the car out in the sun though to warm the rubber as its not driveable...
i believe a special tool is used by the pros
maybe talk to a very experienced screen fitter first
or a panel shop as these guys fit a lot of windscreens themselves

Hi all. Just thought I would add to this old thread FWIW. I've just bought front and rear black rubber locking strips as I'm not going to run with the mylar type. It was from Aveska but is a Better Auto Rubber product. I did enquire about length as the hatch rear screen is somewhat bigger than the sedan and they have now increased the size to accommodate. Width is ~10mm. Cheers Ron

Cook,
any chance of some pictures of the black locking strips in place?
Has anyone experienced any problems with the rubber kits for a LX Hatch from Rare Spares, Aveska or Better Rubber ?
Regards Mando.

Sorry Mando but screens aren't in yet. I've got to get the car back to the panel shop for a few minor things and at the same time I am going to get them to fit all the exterior items (they know what they are doing lol) and screens will be part of that. Can get you some pics but will be about end of April. Cheers Ron
