After a few beers today,, (probably why I am even bothering to put this up ) and really missing having my Torrie in the driveway I got to thinking what I had in the shed I could tinker with.
Well just so happens I have my (original to car) radio and I have been looking at buying a complete new one off EBay as my chrome parts of the tuner and tone adjustment looked very shabby and wanting to have the radio in the car after the restoration I thought I needed to replace them.
Well, beer does wonderful things so I though I would try clean them up a bit so grabbed some 'cut n' polish' from the car detailing bag and sat and rubbed a while. Hmm this just might work so got the old Dremel tool out with the tiny buffing wheel and finished them off to a pretty decent shine. The small pitting/blemishes you can see in the pictures is actually really hard to see by eye in natural light.
So don't be afraid to rip the knob out and give it a polish. The results will really satisfy.
Next is a set of tail lights I have as spares but that won't be half as exciting.
Cheers Brad,,
