Ive got an LH with a red 253 in, that is running a 2-barrel manifold.
It has the EGR port, but its blanked off, and it has the heat tubes for the auto choke.
There is a single bolt hole next to the EGR port & heat tubes, and a single bolt hole on the opposite side of the carby
I picked up a 4 barrel manifold at a Wreckers, but the manifold has two bolt holes next to the EGR, and two on the opposite side of carby mount.
Is this a later model manifold?
Is it useless on my red engine? Or can it still be bolted up?
The wrecker had a pre-pollution manifold there aswell, but it looked different again. No mount for heat tubes or EGR port.
Anyone know what I need to get?
Thanks
Rohan.

yes and without mods, yes.
there should be a part number on it.
there are three main polution manifolds L shape port, square port and U port.
look for one with the same port and bolt hole.
also if buying second hand check the water passage section preferably with a screwdriver and dig it in a bit as the corossion may not be quite thru yet but only last a couple of months in service.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll take the manifold back and try and chase up another.
