Usual relationship is about half of idle vacuum, therefore with your 12 then around a 6 (5.5 or 6.5). This should be a starting point to test, however if you are happy with the present setting, then leave it. I notice you have jet extensions, are they standard? A friend just purchased a 2nd hand 4500 Dominator which had extensions in the secondaries and was flooding terribly. The float was catching on the extensions, make sure you have plenty of clearance on yours.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, just wondering if you managed to get your black plug issue under control? what was it in the end?

No need to apologise!
Yes, all sorted.
Just gradually pulled more fuel out of it (smaller jetting) until it was good. Fiddled with accelerator pump cams too.
Did cheat and buy an AFR gauge to help with the process.

That's not cheating, that's smart.

Hi Rexy, this thread just popped up on my feed this morning with much interest, as I am doing similar things with my hatch. Don’t suppose you still have a link for the gauge, as I am tempted to try the same? Regards RonNo need to apologise!

Local. I try to support local business if I can. Also easier to sort out problems if they happen.
