A9X gauge cluster

I sent a set off to be restored that I had purchased and they contacted me saying it is a genuine A9X cluster.

No, it would be date coded (late 1977) only, but would need to have park brake light in it.

The late LX SLR's had the same cluster.
The park brake lamp isn't a A9X only thing.

Yes it has brakelight on speedo. Not sure of date. Didn't take that much notice of it before I sent it off.

and compare the different pics of each
and ofcourse the date code on the back of the cluster is important

I was just concerned because it's going in a mockup and if it was a genuine A9X cluster I'd rather see it used in a genuine one if it could be.
Mind you if I could own an A9X to put it in would be better.

Ok thanks guys. So generally speaking there is no way of knowing if a gauge cluster is from an A9X.

could have date code anywhere from june 77 onwards
maybe even earlier
my dash was july 77 in oct built car
