Hi
Apparently that is called a- "Sleeve, gaiter to lever". There is only one part number right through the LC and LJ series. Part number 7152862. This suggests that there was only one colour.
Pretty sure all the vinyl lever covers were all black.

Handbrake vinyl gaiters matched the seat vinyl trim but the rubber sleeve and the plastic grip only came in black.

Hi
Looking into the various parts catalogues, without further guessing, it appears that in respect of the LC series a black handbrake gaiter was also used where the trim colour was 45L or V (Orange) and 48V W X Y (Sandalwood). With the 1972 LJ series a black gaiter was also used with trim colour 48X and Y (Sandalwood/Flax). The listing in the late LJ parts catalogue only mentions 5 colours and makes no sense to me.
Obviously things aren't as straight forward as one would expect. I believe the colour of the carpet is the key. Some non-black trim colours were fitted with black carpets.
Cheers

My bad, I should have had a look at the catalogues.
I see what you mean with the listings in the Green LJ Catalogue. Haven't had a look at the Feb 72 LJ Cat yet.
Looks like the carpet colour might be the key however an exception in LC is 42Y & 42W have black carpet but not a black gaiter.
