Has anyone in WA had had a car engineered to get over the pits?
if so who did you use and how much did it cost?
Dattoman was a good man and gave me a list of engineers but i would like to know about the whole experience of getting a car like this over the pits in WA.
I am thinking along the lines of tubs, big brakes and 500hp injected chev

Phil, one of my best mates is 1/2 way through the process of having his Vl engineered here in Perth. He's fitted a lexus 1UZ V8 to it, and the conversion required things like new engine mounts for the chassis and g/box crossmember.
The engineer just came to his workshop, was a pretty casual affair, the car was on a hoist, and the guy went through the whole thing, picked up on a few things that needed improving on. He has to return to inspect the things he had to do, and will I assume write a report for my mate to take with him.
Can't remember what he charged, but if you like, you can contact my mate, just let me know.

Of that list I would ring Rodney Styles..... try to get Rod Snr not Jnr
Romata are OK too.... I think the guys name is Romeo
Analytical Brakes and Jamie Gard are excellent but expensive
I may soon be able to start writing the letters for the brake side of things (waiting on accreditation)

Keaton - do you have any idea how much rodney styles charged.
I think he will be the one to ask as he is only just around the corner from my car.
Evan - No mate, when I took the chev over at perth pit they just said 'oh! so you have only changed from a 6 to a V8' like it was nothing. I applied for the permit for chev th700 and 9", all the permit says is '350 chev, not to be modified' (bguck i hate the last bit) thats why i want to find a good engineer.
I would really like a 6/71 hanging out the bonnet but i think that would be stretching things a bit far.
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP PEOPLE
