Hi I was wondering if anyone out there could give me details on the battery tray location on their lj xu1. Mine sits flush with the inside of the rail, however I am not sure if it is in the right spot in relation to how far back from the radiator support panel it should be. How far back from the radiator support should the tray be when measured from the rail side ? does anyone have any pics showing the tray and a measuring tape so I can get some idea ? I think it could be in the wrong spot and it would be handy to get it sorted out now as the engine is out. thanks - fat tony

Hi

I took these pics for another bloke some time ago. The carrier has been replaced at some stage and I'm guessing that it has been put back in the correct location.

I hope this helps

Those mig welds at bottom of side bracket and chasis rail look sus don't they?
But they are all the same.
First time I saw them I thought the car was was a mockup I expected spot welds.
Was a lot of strange people welding bits at Elizabeth in those days, I knew a few.
