i have a hq brake set up and a all drum master cyl i have put the valve from a disk/drum in it and i have a protioning valve i think it is the one after the master but i do not have the rear lines running through it and the front brakes are sticking on please help cheers caine

have you rmoved the check valve from the front brake line on the master cylinder? thats what it sounds like to

ok then we can probably presume you havent done it, unscrew the front brake line off of the master cylinder and you will see a little braas retainer, put a screw in the hole and pull it out, dont worry too much if you appear to have stretched the hole as all that thing does is to seat the brake line properly, once that is out you will see a little plastic thing that looks like a miniture tap plunger, take that and its spring out, then put the brass thingy back in and do your brake line back up and your brakes should be free now. the little check valve is to hold the pressure in the line so the pistons dont come all the way back in when you take your foot of the brake

lx8vd69 do that little check vavle is out now and the brakes are gravity bleeding now i will keep you posted cheers caine

no probs mate i only know because i just did a disc brake conversion on my banjo :spoton:
