widest tyre on a 5" rim

Just wondering what the widest tyre u can put on a 15x5 rim. there are some cheap ones available to buy. I was hoping to run about a 195 or 205 on the front but i think these would be to big for a 5" rim. Am i right??

Legally, a 185 is the widest tyre you can fit on a 5" wide rim.

like my mate with his suzuki alto, 125's :)
u should get some fatter rims?, you will notice the handeling differance.

They are probably Volvo rims.

It depends on the tyre profile.

i was mucking around with my tyre changer a couple of weeks ago and fitted a 33/12.5/15 on a 15x6" rim.
it was for a smash up derby car :rolleyes:
