did you seal the o ring with anything?hi mate theres no need for a gasket the cvrs have the oring they rekn they seal really good i got one on my 308 no dramas they look great

2wild4u i got mine off ebay the seller is holden mania really good to deal with they do look trick better than those crap redline chrome ones

I bought a Speco o-ring housing about five years ago for my 308 it was well made and looked just as good when I sold it with the engine a couple of weeks ago. You should be able to buy one for around $40.
